ESE originates in 1994, as an engineering consulting company for the power generation industry.
The Company draws since the beginning on the experience of its partners, who were previously general and technical managers of leading Italian companies in the energy field (nuclear, conventional and renewable) and boilers manufacturing.
In the recent years, ESE is consolidating its role in the roadmap to decarbonization.

ESE performs the R&D-to-industry engineering of a CO2-based electricity storage system

CSP CONSOLIDATION
After a long list of CSP projects, ESE enters a HORIZON 2020 project as responsible for the design of a new flexible once-through steam generator with molten salt as heat transfer fluid

FIRST ABROAD OFFICE
ESE founds its first abroad Company in Israel, as a result of its remarkable success and the awarding of two very important contracts as Owner’s Engineer

FIRST HYDROGEN PROJECT
ESE performs the first feasibility study on a green hydrogen project, including the evaluation of the electrolyzer’s suppliers and LCOE calculation

BESS B.U. CREATION
ESE founds a new Business Unit dedicated to Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), electric vehicles and other innovative sectors

JOINING STREAM CONSORTIUM
ESE joins the STREAM Consortium to cover the entire renewable energy sector with PV systems and mini-hydroelectric plants with BESS coupling

DECARBONIZATION AND HYBRIDIZATION
ESE consolidates its role in the roadmap to decarbonization thanks to the awarding of the Owner’s Engineer contract for two hybrid projects (Thermal + PV + BESS), several works in the storage sector and the awarding of a decarbonization study of an important industrial player

WIND SECTOR UPGRADE
ESE starts collaborating with Nabla Wind Hub to upgrade its capabilities in the Wind Plant sector.

FIRST FLOATING PV
ESE is awarded the first permitting design for a floating PV project in Italy
